Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is an emotional form of acupuncture that relies on tapping instead of needles. During a session, the client tunes into a specific issue or goal while tapping on various meridian points on the body. EFT is based upon the premise that “The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system.” EFT aims to correct this imbalance so that you are no longer “tied” to your area of concern.

EFT is a very non-invasive approach that helps to neutralize negative emotions by gently tapping on various stress relief points located on the face, hands, and upper body. This gentle tapping restores the body’s natural flow of positive energy. Once learned, you can easily apply EFT to any area of your life that you want to improve. EFT is not perfect, of course, but it usually works well and the results are sometimes spectacular. It often works when nothing else will.

EFT is NOT a substitute for conventional medicine. It is, however, compatible with Western medicine and all other forms of therapy and healing.

EFT was founded by Gary Craig, a Stanford engineering graduate and an ordained minister, who has been doing energy healing work since 1991. Since the age of 13 when Gary had an intense interest in personal improvement via psychology, he recognized that the quality of his thoughts was mirrored in the quality of his life. Since then he has been self-taught in this field, seeking only those procedures that, in his opinion, produced results. EFT is his latest finding, the core of which he learned from Dr. Roger Callahan. Gary is also a Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Master Practitioner.
